REVIEW: Supple Swirl 21x Remote Control Silicone Dildo

Here’s How It’s Going Down

First Impressions and Packaging

It’s always so exciting to try new brands of toys. Having been around so long, I’ve vast experience with some brands that I review for repeatedly. So, it’s a damn thrill when something new comes along like the Supple Swirl 21x Remote Control Silicone Dildo. Plus, it’s a beautiful black, soft silicone that just looks beautiful.

The Supple Swirl 21x Remote Control Silicone Dildo packaging was a basic box loaded with information about the toy. In fact, it’s one of the more descriptive boxes I’ve come across, which I appreciate.

The box explains what you get: a remote, the dildo with 7 functions and 3 speeds and the rechargeable USB cord. In one of the illustrations in the box, it shows how to charge the toy. While boxes like this sometimes strike me as cheap, everything the box illustrates helped me get to know the toy better. Additionally, the Supple Swirl box includes a short description of the toy in six additional languages (Italian, Spanish, Russian (?), French, Dutch and German).

Let’s Get Physical

The outer layer of the Supple Swirl Silicone vibrating dildo is a liquid-like silicone. It’s swirls are soft and unassuming, which is just what my cervix likes.

The Supple Swirl vibrating dildo is an unassuming dildo at 1.33″ width but 7″ long. Although 7″ can seem large to some, the texture of the Supple Swirl is consistant along the toy so you will get the same experience at any depth.

This vibrating dildo is compatible with most harnesses – all of mine like the Joque size a and Joque Size b or this cute, lace harness. The flared base of the Supple Swirl makes this an anal-safe toy for pegging or solo use. The Supple Swirl 21x Remote Control Silicone Dildo looks mighty-fine in my black and black-and-red harness’.

In addition to being anal-safe and harness compatible, the Supple Swirl 21x Remote Control Silicone Dildo is also waterproof. Waterproof toys always excited me because I have a tendency to use dildos anally in the shower where I can keep everything clean. Additionally, having a toy to use in a bath, surrounded by candles and essential oils is a wonderful way to spend solo time.

The Supple Swirl has seven functions and three speeds which is… fine. Three speeds is acceptable in my mind and 7 functions is fun. I’m not drawn toward functions so I was disappointed that there were so many functions and so few speeds.

This Supple Swirl 21x Remote Control Silicone Dildo also sports a suction cup that is plenty strong but the weight of the toy pulls the shaft downward. I’m assuming it’s because of the drooping the suction isn’t as strong as some other suction-cup dildos I have. That being said, the fact that this is a vibrating dildo with a suction cup is rather unique, it just won’t last long on the wall.

Materials, Care, and Keeping

Here’s where it gets interesting: Betty’s Toy Box and U Strap explain that the silicone of the Supple Swirl is surrounded by a layer of “liquid silicone.” That essentially means that this toy is a dual-density toy, just not in the sense of realism.

Additionally, the silicone is flexible in the upper 2/3 of the toy (the bottom is stiff from the motor). You can bend the silicone different ways with your body. That flexibility allows for the toy to move with your body. Although that means that it isn’t a soft silicone, it’s just bendable.

Silicone is a body-safe material that can be sanitized but merely requires a thorough washing with soap and water. It’s a non-porous material that makes this an ideal material for sex toys. Always remember: when going between vagina and anus or sharing between partners the toy should be washed with soap and water.

If you want to sanitize it, you can lay the silicone shaft in a 1:10 bleach:water solution for about ten minutes. You can also put silicone in the dishwasher or boil it for a few minutes. However, it’s ill-advised to do that with the Supple Swirl because of the mechanics inside the toy.

Because silicone lube has the potential to damage silicone toys, it’s best to use a water-based lubricant. I like the Sliquid H2O for basic intercourse (vaginal and anal) or Sliquid Sassy which is designed for anal sex.

Supple Swirl in Action

Excuse the lint on the Supple Swirl. That’s the problem with black toys–every imperfection is on display.

The Supple Swirl comes with a remote to control the motor functions of the toy. While it’s a fun gesture, and the remote works well, I didn’t use it much when I was aroused.

That being said, a remote is usually preferred to buttons on the shaft. I was able to keep a hand free of lube because I didn’t need to reach down to change the functions.

There are magnets on the bottom of the supple swirl that connect to a USB magnetic charging cable. That makes this an easy rechargeable toy to prepare for use.

My Experience with the Supple Swirl

I did not like the Supple Swirl’s vibrations so I used them for the sake of this review. They were buzzy and the three speeds weren’t enough variety for me. However, as a non-vibrating dildo, the Supple Swirl hit the spot. Recently I have fallen in love with liquid silicone layers on top of sex toys like with the Tracey Cox Supersex Soft Feel G-Spot Vibrator. That is because depending on where I am in my menstrual cycle, my cervix can potentially be very painful when bumped.

The “liquid silicone” outer layer of the Supple Swirl that makes up the raised swirls is nice and cushy. But what really sells me this dildo is that the liquid silicone soft head. That head isn’t an asshole to my cervix which is greatly appreciated, especially given how easily pain angers me when I jam a dildo too hard.

As far as girth was concerned, I wasn’t impressed. I didn’t feel like it stretched me enough. However, because the width isn’t too great, I think that will make it more versatile and a better toy for pegging.

Final Thoughts and Where to Buy

I liked the Supple Swirl 21x Remote Control Silicone Dildo as a dildo, I really did. I just wasn’t a fan of the vibrations. As a dildo, the Supple Swirl excels. It’s a great toy to peg with, is harness-compatible and anal-safe, and is a nice, narrow dildo.

The length was satisfying even though the width was on the smaller end than what I usually use. I loved the “liquid silicone layer” that surrounded the silicone of the shaft. The head was nice and cushy and was gentle on my cervix.

If you’re looking for a harness-compatible toy for pegging, the Supple Swirl is a good toy to start with. There are other dildos that will do that don’t vibrate like the color-changing dildo or the Lifelike Lover Dildo.

However, if the suction cup is what draws you to the Supple Swirl, there are better ones out there like the Colors Wave 6 Inch Silicone Dildo or the Vixen Mustang (they also have a Mustang for strap-on sex!). They are both dual-density, gentle on my body, and their suction is stellar.

Likewise, if you are looking for vibration, I’d suggest getting something from the Tantus lines like the Vamp and a bullet vibrator like the Tango. The Vamp has a bullet hole and is harness compatible, as many Tantus dildos have.

You can get the Supple Swirl 21x Remote Control Silicone Dildo at Betty’s Toy Box. While you’re at it, pick up some Sliquid H2O to heighten the pleasure or Sliquid Sassy lube to allow for a smoother anal penetration.

  1. Oh! I’ve never heard of this one but it could fit into my collection perfectly. I like the idea of the dual density silicone. Is it real fully cured silicone? Calling it liquid silicone makes me nervous.

    1. It’s akin to the Mustang or a toy that’s dual-density. I was told it was silicone and that’s the best I can give you, unfortunately. I trust Betty’s Toy Box that they’d let me know if it wasn’t truly silicone.

  2. Perfect for when you want to screw….amiright? . (sorry, too easy)
