Tantus Bound is literally that – a Bound dildo

Tantus sent me the Bound, a bondage-style realistic black dildo. She Vibe and Tantus worked together to create this sex toy so when I was given it I was so excited.

I absolutely love Tantus and most of their products. I’ve found it was hit-or-miss in the beginning while trying to figure out what I liked but I’m better at guesstimating now. With the Bound, however, guesstimating didn’t matter. What mattered was getting that toy in my hands – and vagina – to find out whether or not it was worth it.

It pains me to say this about the Bound…

While I loved the look of the Bound, a dick clearly in some amount of distress, I didn’t love the feeling.

For starters, as soon as I took it out of the box I was greeted with a plastic-y-feeling sex toy. And, personally, I don’t want sometime plastic in my vagina that doesn’t vibrate. Toys like the Tango bullet is reasonable, but if the whole damn thing is going in an orifice I need it to be comfortable.

Well, it is silicone

The Bound is silicone, a body-safe product and the construction of the toy was superb.

Tantus makes quality toys and the Bound dildo is no exception. While I wasn’t a fan of the silicone mix they used, that shouldn’t reflect poorly on the quality of the toy. Tantus works carefully to deliver body-safe toys and the feeling of this toy doesn’t mean it’s not well-made. It just means it didn’t work supremely well for my body.

On top of that, the Bound dildo is anal safe, because of the flare at the bottom. Butts like to suck stuff up them so it’s imperative that you never put something up your butt that it can eat.

The Bound isn’t edible by the butt and it is harness-compatible which means this toy can be used to peg your partners ass to their hearts’ desire.

That texture, tho

The texture, though, was exquisite. There wasn’t a bit of the toy that wasn’t textured, whether it be the rope or the skin between each tight rope. For those who like texture, the Bound is queen.

I could feel every bit of the lumps the ropes made as I moved the toy. For those who like texture, this toy is the bomb, but the rough silicone personally was too distracting.

Being that it is silicone…

Being that it is a silicone toy, use a water-based lube with the Bound. Silicone lube can destroy the toy and that’s a fucking bummer when you dish out THIS MANY for the Bound.

There’s one other thing that made it hard to love the Bound dildo: cleaning. Cleaning the damn thing was felt like a chore when I was burnt out from fucking myself. However, a quick wipe-down with some feminine wipes took care of the girl-juice drying and a toothbrush and soap took care of the lumps and bumps.

If you don’t like the sound of the Bound, there are other options

Here’s the deal: the plastic-like feeling wasn’t the best for me. If you think this will bother you then I have a few other suggestions. That being said, the silicone feeling shouldn’t necessarily deter you if you crave texture above all else. This is an excellent toy for texture-lovers.

The only other toy I’ve tried similar in texture to the Tantus Bound dildo is the Zombie dick from Fleshlight, which I don’t believe is sold anymore. However, the Mini Rippler is a texture option for those in need. If you want to stick with something textured and realistic then give the Lifelike Lover Lux a try.
