REVIEW: Romp Shine

REVIEW: Romp Shine

The Romp shine is an oral sex simulator.
The Romp Shine is a disappointment of an oral sex simulator. It’s a disappointment as a toy.

Ohhh, you guys, I’m going to do something that brings me no pleasure; this review is not favorable to the Romp Shine, an oral sex simulator toy.

Now, here’s the deal: I could not charge either toy, so I don’t have a standard review for you today. Instead, I will tell you why this toy is awful and praise Betty’s Toy Box – the toy company that provided this review product – to handle this well and carry so many high-quality toys. I’ve been reviewing for them for a while and have had no bad experiences. And I haven’t had a bad experience, not even with the Romp Shine.

How did I get started with this toy?

The box of the romp shine is pictured. It's bright pink with a photo of the toy that's inside box. The Romp Shine is an oral sex simulator sex toy.

Betty’s Toy Box offered me the Romp Shine shortly after receiving my first oral sex simulator toy. I was thrilled. For starters, the Romp Shine is significantly cheaper than the other suction toys on the market like the Womanizer and the Melt (which is featured in a weekly roundup). It retails on Betty’s Toy Box for $49.99, which is fantastic for an oral sex simulator, but the price reflects the quality of the toy you’re getting.

But what I can tell you as if the Romp Shine worked the two-button control panel was sturdy and easy to manipulate without looking at the toy. The head is removable but other size options are not provided, though that’s a feature of the Womanizer that allows the toy to be more inclusive for different bodies.

However, the head is removable and I know this because each time I turn over the Romp Shine the head just fucking fell off. Just, down on the ground. Obviously, in order to use the Shine, it’d have to be facedown on my clit. I could not get the head to stay on when it was in that position. This toy was simply unusable.

I could go on, I really could, but I’d just be repeating the same thing over and over again: the Romp Shine is such a lousy toy that I cannot make it work, and I do this for a living. There’s no sense in drawing this out. Don’t get the Romp Shine.

If both toys have these issues, the rest of them have problems too. It would be a waste of $50 for you to buy a sex toy that likely won’t work. Instead, save up what you had to buy the Romp and buy the We-Vibe Melt or Womanizer instead. Those are quality toys, albeit more expensive. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Let’s talk about why I love Betty’s Toy Box

However, Betty’s Toy Box is a fabulous store. I’ve had nothing but sublime interactions with them, and I appreciate them thinking of me for this toy. Sometimes things just don’t work out, and now we all know that this toy is not even worth the small price tag.

Did this review help you? I’d love it if you’d consider purchasing your future toys from my affiliates. At no extra cost to you, your purchase supports my blog. Go check them out! I wouldn’t list them if I didn’t like them. Be safe and go fuck yourself during these hard times
