The sex toy that gave me hope

First Impression:

 Lovehoney sent me the perfect sex toy for my frustrating anorgasmia “flare-up” without realizing it, for which I am truly grateful.  I’ve found that the only thing that will satisfy me sexually, even without a resulting orgasm, is g-spot stimulation without vibrations. When I first saw the Satisfy Me G-Spot Silicone Dildo I was skeptical, but just barely so. I’ve had a few not-so-pleasurable experiences with some of their toys. However, I’m quite pleased with this toy and it’s made me rethink my impressions of Lovehoney brand toys.

One end of the toy is curve with a bulbous head, much like the Comet II. I had to know how similar it was so I compared the two toys and was quite pleased (see below and to the right). Although the curve of the Satisfy Me Dildo is not quite as pronounced as the Comet II, it was still large enough to make an impact. I’m going to compare this toy to the Comet II quite a bit because they are so similar; and because the Comet II is one of my favorite g-spotting toys.

The quality of the Satisfy Me Dildo is superb. It’s not silky smooth like some other toys I’ve reviewed, which means that you need a bit more lube. However, I should note that the toy does not suggest that it is smooth so it isn’t misleading.

The Good: 

As I mentioned above, the large head is largish without being too overwhelming. My eyes are often bigger than my vagina so I was quite pleased with the size of the head–I was somewhat worried I’d picked something too large. It wasn’t so large that it stretched me going in, but it was large enough that it did, in fact, rub against my g-spot. This next little tidbit will apply to both this section and “The Bad” for, funnily enough, the same reason. I’m putting the flexibility of this toy as a positive because it’s not too overwhelming; not nearly as overwhelming as stiffer toys are. For some people, this would very much be positive. For me: not so much.

While this last bit may not have been a positive for me, this next bit was: I could thrust. There are so many g-spotting toys that don’t allow thrusting; rather, you have to rock the toy up and down. While the stimulation of the g-spot with a firm toy is wonderful, for many, it’s just too intense. Of course, the rigidness of the toy also makes it feel larger than a flexible toy or a “soft” toy (think Bad Dragon or Exotic Erotics) would. In this way, it’s not too overwhelming.
Unlike other intense g-spotters, this toy did not get stuck behind my pubic bone. While that isn’t necessarily an unpleasant feeling, it was shocking the first time I experienced that. Whelp, with this toy you have no need to be concerned about that. It simply won’t happen (though that’s an absolute and I try not to use those).

In the video on Lovehoney’s site, Annabell Knight, the resident Sexpert, addresses toy’s flexibility. She suggests wiggling the toy back and forth, which I did. It didn’t provide as much stimulation as it did thrusting in and out of my vagina. The more I wiggled it, the less stimulating it became on my g-spot. However, it did felt good. Like a vaginal massage, if you will. It was a curious feeling, having something wiggle in my vag and wasn’t unpleasant at all, but it wasn’t incredibly pleasurable.

The Bad:

 Although the larger end did give me g-spot stimulation, the toy just wasn’t stiff enough to make a big enough impact that gave me that “OH MY GO—AHHHHH” effect that the Comet II did. The Satisfy Me Dildo sucked up lube like a mofo, but that didn’t turn me off to it; it was just annoying.

Clenching around this toy wasn’t incredibly, something that usually stimulates my g-spot to no end. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. That’s how I get pleasure from g-spotters, the opposite or both may be true for you. You may include clenching in your jack-off session like me or you may not. I’d suggest trying it to figure out if you have the same experience.

Would I Use it Again? 

Absolutely. I’ve amassed a small collection of toys and this one, being not too large, is perfect as a warm-up toy for the Comet II or toys with larger heads like the Maverick. While this isn’t necessarily the first toy I’d go to for a single-toy session, it has its usefulness in other departments.

Something to note is that this toy is not anal safe. In the heat of the moment I stuck it in my ass without thinking. Though it felt wonderful, and was the largest thing I’ve successfully stuck in my butt, it should not be used as such. Asses are like a black hole, they’ll suck anything and everything up in them if you’re not careful. Just the fact that I stuck this in my ass at all made me be a stupid toy reviewer (I’m going to blame the Vicodin). Please don’t do this.

Who Would like this toy? For those of you with sensitive vaginas or vaginas that don’t like large toys, this could very well be the perfect toy for you. If you like wiggling things in your vag, which to me is more fun than stimulating, you’d have fun with this toy.

The boring stuff: The packaging was simple; not busy at all. It displayed the pink toy of a rectangular box with Lovehoney’s logo behind it. It had the quote: “a spot of stimulation?” that subtly told you exactly what this toy’s purpose is. However, for me, this dildo was too subtle and the question mark made it seem like Lovehoney was questioning whether or not it is effective at it’s job. Tagline aside, the toy’s description on the box’s side is much appreciated.

This may go without saying, considering it’s a silicone dildo with no internal parts, but to put your mind at ease I’ll note that this toy is submersible. Lovehoney’s site provided me with the following measurements:

• Length: 7.5 inches
• Insertable Length: 7 inches
• Circumference: 5 inches
• Base diameter: 1.5

This pure, silicone dildo can be washed with soap and water or sanitized by boiling, soaking in a 10{3f7c80553853438a366aef0b7e76dba6b33433c1f55cb64b62d723dc82ff4775} bleach to water solution, or placed in the dishwasher. Really, taking care of this toy couldn’t be easier.

TL;DR? Loved this toy! Will go back to it many times and would be a wonderful addition to someone’s toybox who enjoys subtle g-spot stimulation. There’s a similar toy in this line that’s worth checking out – the Satisfy Me Curved Dildo.
