The Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator cannot give us all the nice things but…

Nothing brings me as much joy as writing a good review of a sex toy for a company that I love. But what brings me pain is having to write a review that is negative. But, that’s the life I live as a reviewer.

Now, I love Lovehoney products. I’ve reviewed countless of them Lovehoney vibrators, rabbit vibrators, wands, dildos and lingerie but sometimes there are just hits and misses. In this case, there are both hits and misses in this one set.

The Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator and Sleeve Set (5 Piece) is a special one. It comes in five pieces: the bullet itself and four unique sleeves for the bullet. Two of those sleeves fucking sucked and two were…. okay. In fact, if you’re looking for a cheap bullet and are willing to settle, this isn’t a bad kit.

Design

The Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator and Sleeve Set (5 Piece) have the following attachments:

G-spot sleeve: 5.5 inch length, 3.5 inch girth
Clitoral sleeve: 4 inch length, 3 inch girth
Flickering sleeve: 4.75 inch length, 4 inch girth
Wand sleeve: 5 inch length, 3.5 inch girth

As I said above, Lovehoney has a hit-or-miss history of sex toys with me. If we take a look at the bullet itself, you should get an idea of if this may work for you.

The bullet is fucking powerful. Like, it’s probably the most powerful, cheap vibrator that I’ve tried and I’m very satisfied with it in that regard. However, the damn thing is super buzzy. While BUZZY ISNT always bad, it does do that pleasant little numb-handy-y thing that I despise.

This little bullet is not waterproof which is somewhat dissapointing. I like to take my toys in the bath with me and for a little bullet, I want that thing to be waterproof. But, I cannot have everything I want.

However, this bullet is rechargeable which is REALLY cool given the price of this toy. The bottom of the Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator has two little magnetic circles that you connect the USB charger to. One of the nice things about having a USB charger is that you can plug it in pretty much anywhere that has a USB outlet. In my case, I like to plug these toys into my computer so I can see them while I write the review.

Materials, Care, and Keeping

The bullet vibe and all its sleeves are silicone. Silicone toys are body-safe toys and can be sanitized by a few methods. That being said, with body-safe toys you don’t have to sanitize them. Washing them with soap and water will do the trick because they won’t absorb bodily fluids like a porous toy would.

One of the methods of sanitizing a toy is to put a toy (with no electrical parts) in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes. Another way to clean these toys is to use a water-to-bleach cleaning solution. Because there aren’t bumps and grooves where bodily fluids could get stuck, I simply washed the sleeves in the dishwasher. I washed the bullet itself with soap and water.

My Experience with the Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator and Sleeve Set (5 Piece)

I had a lot of fun with this review. Though I did use the toy as directed, I also had fun playing with it. First, I turned the Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator on with each of the sleeves to see how the vibrations travelled and to hear the volume of the vibrations. Here’s how each of the sleeves faired:

G-spot sleeve:

I didn’t find this toy to be especially stimulating. I loved that I could use the bullet internally with this sleeve. The vibrations travelled well throughout the toy and it was comfortable. Because the head isn’t dramatically curved, I could thrust in-and-out with this toy but the stimulation wasn’t worth it.

Clitoral sleeve:

There was nothing especially unique about this sleeve. In fact, I got more pleasure out of using the bullet by itself than using it with this sleeve. Though the vibrations traveled, the sleeve is so unassuming that it isn’t even worth a second glance. However, the vibrations didn’t hum like a mother-fucker like they did with the wand sleeve and the flickering sleeve.

Flickering sleeve:

The flickering sleeve actually flickered! It wasn’t a Volta flicker, but it was a …. something. The vibrations travelled really well through this sleeve but the problem was that when I pressed it against my body, the flickering was no more. ‘

Now, that’s to be expected with a toy of this nature and for this cost. It flickers freely because of the vibrations but pressure against the tip immediately mutes the flickering. I found that the flickeering on top of the vibrations just tickled uncomfortably.

Wand sleeve:

This little fucker screamed like my cat does when we don’t feed him at 4 am. There seems to be a lot of lost contact between the tip of the wand sleeve and the tip of the bullet. The vibration is fucking loud and obnoxious because there’s that naked space within the toy.

I honestly could not get over the scream of this toy with the wand sleeve in order to feel pleasure from the vibrations. As with all the other sleeves, the vibrations on my hand were uncomfortable.

Final Thoughts

There’s a toy for everyone but the price of the toy can often hinder ones ability to purchase that one, amazing toy. Instead, there are cheaper toys like the Lovehoney that can potentially do the trick for ones’ body.

I requested this toy because it not only looked fun, but it was in the price range where I was before I reviewed toys. There is absolutely no comparison between the Tango – my favorite bullet vibe – and the Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator and Sleeve Set. The Tango is deep and rumbly while the Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator and Sleeve Set is buzzy. However, I quite liked two attachments and the vibrations were enough to get me off, despite the numbing feeling I got in my hands from holding the body of the bullet.

Compared to the Tango, the Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator and Sleeve Set doesn’t hold up. However, for this price it’s a decent toy. I wanted it because most of the toys I review are pretty darn expensive and not all of us can do that.

I had fun with the sleeves, even though two were ridiculously loud.

Who would like this toy?

For those of you on a tight budget, the Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator and Sleeve Set is decent enough for the price. While you aren’t getting a Picasso at this price, you’re getting more of a garage-sale drawing done by someone’s grandmother who had an interest in art.

If you can splurge on something arguably better, the Tango would be a good route to follow. If you’re like me, though, who can often comfortably get off on a buzzy toy, this could do the trick. It’s powerful, really fucking powerful, and sometimes that’s just what you need.

I also like that the Lovehoney Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator and Sleeve Set has a g-spotter option. You can use this bullet internally as well as externally for some mini g-spot action. However, the Pleasure Mates kit also has a g-spotting sleeve option that those of you with more resources may want to try.

Other reviewers are head-over-heels with Dame Kip. Though I haven’t used it, I trust these reviewers like Epiphora and Princess Reviews because their are quite distinguished.
