About the Exotic Erotices Hippocampus Dildo

Exotic Erotics Hippocampus dildo is a decade-long review in progress. In 2013, as a young reviewer, I paid shipping, and Exotic Erotics sent me a customized Hippocampus. It’s a decade later, and I have a review for you! I publish this with shame for not doing it until now, but I’m a woman of my word and promised a review. I’m just a woman of my word who takes her damn unprofessional time with it sometimes. 

Exotic Erotics has been around since I started reviewing 11 years ago, and they’re still around, but with even more models than before. 

Modeled after fantasy figures – and with some animal dick designs – Exotic Erotics carries high-quality silicone dicks of varying densities. This wasn’t common when I was starting – I reviewed hard silicone dick after hard silicone dick, so having a softer toy was a welcome occurrence.

Customizable Design of the Exotic Erotics Hippocampus Dildo

I chose the Exotic Erotics Hippocampus dildo in color and density specific to what I hoped I’d like. Because I was so new, I didn’t know that a “medium” Hippocampus would be so large. As I’ve learned, a medium in the fantasy toy world is very often fucking huge. 

I chose The soft silicone similar to the Tantus super-soft density, a joint degree among fantasy toy makers. I’m thrilled that I decided, without knowing then, that the density I’ve found works best for my body. The soft(ish) silicone made the experience much more comfortable.

Yass, It’s Super Customizable

I asked them to surprise me with their choice of pattern. I wasn’t wildly creative then; I didn’t know that pink and purple were overused, gendered(ish) colors. I asked that Red be involved. That was the ticket. Red sex toys are rare and far between, and I did a great job asking for unusual colors. When I review fantasy toys, I always ask for colors you don’t see as often, like the Kelvin or the Crackers, the Fronky, the LARGE 12″ DIL, and the OREGANO TOYS abracadabra. 

The Exotic Erotic Hippocampus dildo has a tapered head. At present, the pointed head of a toy works best for my body, and the Hippocampus was the toy that taught me that. 

Materials, Care, and Keeping

Silicone is Queen in my world – it’s a body-safe material that only requires a good wash with soap and water. People feel more comfortable boiling toys, and I’m keen to throw silicone dildos in the dishwashing machine. The latter two are not necessary. Silicone is a body-safe material that, when thoroughly cleaned, won’t harbor bacteria. If you’re going to use the Exotic Erotic Hippocampus dildo from ass to vag, clean it first.

As far as lube goes, and you may want to use it for a toy this size, a water-based lubricant is safest to use with silicone. Silicone lube can cause a damaging reaction when exposed to silicone. While silicone lube is ideal for butt stuff, I’d urge you to use a slick lubricant like the Sliquid Sassy or try a silicone-water-based lubricant hybrid. Test a bit of lube on the part of the toy that won’t make contact with your body and see how it reacts. 

The Exotic Erotics Hippocampus is incredibly textured. Thus, you must wash it carefully. Grab a toothbrush, soap up the toy with a little handjob, and make sure you get every nook and cranny. With scales on the back of the toy and a swirling texture on the front, you must be very thorough with the soap and water to make the toy safe for further or continued use. 

My Experience with the Exotic Erotic Hippocampus

Tapered heads are a godsend for my vagina and ass, and the Hippocampus sports the most comfortable head I’ve ever taken. 

With enthusiasm, I slathered Sliquid Silk, a lubricant designed to last like a silicone lube and marketed as a butt stuff lube. With a finger, I put some lubricant in my vagina and got to work. The head of the toy made insertion comfortable. Now, however, I have pain with penetration, and when I tried the Hippocampus again, I experienced intense discomfort. Fortunately, I’m an avid notetaker and can give you my experience from years ago.

My vagina was stuffed to the brim with the soft silicone of the Exotic Erotic Hippocampus; I moved it back and forth inside of me. Every thrust was an intense array of pleasure and texture. I could feel the scales of the Exotic Erotic Hippocampus against my perineum as I moved the toy out of my vagina, and I felt the rolling texture of the front of the dildo against my opening. 

The Texture

I’m not always a fan of texture, but the Exotic Erotic Hippocampus was a unique experience. I loved feeling the textures of the toy moving inside of me, and I thrust back and forth with ease.

I paired the Hippocampus with the Fun Factory Tiger, and when I was able to cum, I was stuffed full with the Hippocampus stationary inside of my vagina. I tend to prefer only one sensation at a time to cum, and I’ve only come with penetration once (thanks to a dildo with balls from a less renowned sex toy shop). Hence, I knew that the Hippocampus would best be utilized resting inside of me while I came from clitoral stimulation.

The sensation of being so full while I came was incredible. Moving forward, while I still enjoyed thrusting, I craved the feeling of the Hippocampus inside of me.

I don’t typically take large toys in my ass. I never do. I find anal penetration pleasurable, but the sensation of taking a shit while I masturbate does not appeal to me. Overall

While I had the Exotic Erotics Hippocampus dildo for review explicitly, I can vouch for the silicone quality and variety of Exotic Erotic toys in general. From fantasy to animal casts, they have an array of silicone dildos; you can customize them however you’d like. 

Exotic Erotics Hippocampuspus was golden, but I have no doubt the rest of their toys can be, too, when you order what you know works for your body. 

Price

Prices of sex toys have risen significantly with time and inflation. However, $75 for a big-ass “medium” toy is a steal. Prices range from $75 (medium) to $195 (X-large). While $195 is a massive price tag, which seems to be higher than other fantasy toys, it’s up to your discretion if you want to explore something new with these toys or if you want to test out the medium and see if it’s adequate.
