REVIEW: 21 DIAMOND VIBRATOR

~or~

This diamond ain’t my best friend

So this is a review I wanted to get out of the way once and for all (emphasis on the “once”). The 21 Diamond Vibrator is not a sex toy I’ll be using again. Aesthetically it’s pleasing, but that’s the only pleasing thing about the 21 Diamond “Here’s a gem of a vibe––try it and find out whether diamonds are your best friend!” I assure you, whoever had the misguided idea to write this, sex toys, not diamonds, are my best friend and I knew that before I tried you #fail of a toy. When they wrote that tag line (whoever “they” is) they were pretty much asking for dozens of women to have a change of heart and realize that, no, they really didn’t know their best friend, the Diamond, at all.

I don’t think there’s a part of this toy that didn’t suck. For starters, you have to unscrew the head of the diamond, which is a total bitch to do. When you finally do have it unscrewed the next part isn’t so bad: plug in the charger, at least that much goes well. But that’s where the positive qualities end. I couldn’t spin it like a top, I couldn’t use it to play darts, and I couldn’t use it to get off.

There are many, many sides to this toy. As advertised, there are three ways to use those many sides with ones vulva. The first way I tried it was pressing the pointed tip of the diamond against my clit. The harder I pressed the more it stopped buzzing (yes, that’s right, it buzzed) until it was totally useless. And it did require ample pushing because the first two speeds weren’t good enough to give me what I needed. The highest vibration setting baffled me. It was almost as if it wasn’t moving; that it was just moving in theory.

The vibrations stopped being plural and instead became singular, creating the feeling of needing to scratch an itch. When I used the flat part to stimulate my whole vulva the vibrations spread to everywhere but where I wanted it to be. They were there all right, but they didn’t listen to what my hand was telling them to do. The only time I was able to get the vibration where I wanted it was when I pressed the outermost edge against my labia to direct the vibrations to my clit. Way too complicated when you want a quick fuck. Way too complicated, period.

The Diamond 21 collects vag gunk, man. In my frustration to find a way to get off with this toy I pressed it up against me on all sides. The power button collected all that good stuff. Fortunately, the motor (that’s all it said) is waterproof so I was able to wash it out.

The boring stuff:

The toy is made out of gold ABS Plastic, which actually does not look as cheap as it may sound, though the bag it comes with is even cheaper than it already looks.

USB Rechargeable Vibrator Waterproof Power motor with three intensity levels & seven vibration modes (seven modes more than necessary).

All angles of the vibe area meant to be used for stimulating labia & clitoris (simultaneously)–which is true, with a shitton of finagling.

Volume: 3, Intensity: 3

The toy also came with a small nick. Not easy to see unless you were a sex toy reviewer looking up close… But just the fact that there is a nick at all, that was clearly made before it was packaged, makes me uncomfortable putting it near my nether regions. Silicone can have imperfections, plastic should not.

If you want to get this toy you can get it from Good Vibrations, though I wouldn’t recommend it.  I suppose you could think of it as a challenge, to figure out first how to unscrew the fucking cap and then as a puzzle to get it positioned so that the weak vibrations feel good.Good Vibes Logo

  1. Yep. Pretty much my experience as you read in my review. At least you got the top unscrewed. My boyfriend and I couldn’t manage that with not just one or two of the 21s. It’s really too bad because it’s a beautiful and classy looking vibe.

  2. Please show some respect here. This guy does a good deed by povirding info to those who are interested and need some ideas about the reviewed phones. Who cares about grammar as long as you can understand what he was trying to say. Haven’t you heard of people make mistakes? Please respect the other viewers and subscribers too. Watch out your words. If you don’t like what he does here, leave.

    1. SO many! I love how many options we have and how you can get quality sex toys for cheap. Those are harder to come by sometimes, but I’ve decided to always review a cheaper toy when I’m sent bundles.
